My Recipe Folder
I've got loads of cookbooks, magazines, printouts and bits of paper of recipes cluttering my kitchen cupboard up, so i decided to make a recipe folder of just my favourites. I brought a cheap A6 photo album and printed some recipes cards on paper from free printable. Then just wrote out all my favourites recipes and placed them in the album. Simple!!

Every week i plan what meals i'm going to have for the week, so i know what to buy when i do my shopping. Then i stick little sticky tabs in my recipe folder so i can quickly find the recipe i need

It's been a few days since i started the 21 Day Challenge . okay, over a week. I've just been so busy recently. Day 2 of the challenge is the Desk. and my desk is ALWAYS messy! i hate it being like this and wish i was more organised with it. As i didn't have much time i just did it very quickly, took my a total of 5 minutes. will do a better job next time. I promise!
And as you can tell from the after photo, i need a new desk! this is covered in tea stains and where i've stuck sellotape on and it's pulled some of the top away. do you like my little paper basket i made? bit squashed after being under all that junk!!!

Summer Diary
when i was little i used to always make a summer diary and I've just got them all out of the attic! The things i used say! LOL . Anyway I thought that this might be a good thing to do with my eldest son, 6, . I only made a simple version as we didn't have much time. I got 12 pieces of plain white A4 paper and folded them in half to make a book, and hole punched them and fastened together with some ribbon. On the first page we put things like best friend is.., favorite t.v programme, hobbies etc. then on each double page i made it so that there was space to write 4 days, and i did this on the next double page too, then after every 8 days i made a summery. I have mostly been doing.., mostly been eating... mostly been reading... mostly been playing with... etc. Best thing that happened. And on the last few pages of the diary i leave room for notes, pictures, photos, and of course space to write about the best day ever of the summer holidays!!

Here's another great find that I found - mysupermarket.com
You can do you shopping, just pick everything that you want then you have four different baskets to choose from, either Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda or Ocado. each one will tell you the total cost of your shopping from each supermarket and all you do is click on the one you want to order from and it takes you to the supermarket's website where you just have to pay for our shopping. Easy!
so not only are you shopping at the cheapest supermarket and getting all the great offers but you are also earning maximiles which you can spend on all sorts. maximiles - take a look

My Home Mangement Folder
On my way to organise my life and home I've decided to make an home management folder.
i got the idea from Organized home and also most of the printable sheets.
first of all i brought a plain black folder priced at £1.50, and some colourful dividers for £1.99
The first section in my folder is my calendar and schedule. I mark the month that I'm on with a sticky note label. Then is my weekly schedule.
Here's my master to-do list, which i just write everything that needs to be done within the coming weeks, months or even the year
Then I've got my food section. which in the first photo shows a printable i made myself. In which i write the store's name at the top the the item that is on offer, how much it is and The date the offer ends. Second photo is my weekly meal planner. I write out my meals for the week while checking the offers and i stick this on my fridge for everyone to see.
Next section is my phone numbers and addresses. First i keep a list of local business and taxi's etc that i may need, then my family and friends numbers. Then addresses.
And then my finance section. I have made my own sheet with what i need to pay, credit card, catalogue etc, and i just tick the month when I've paid it, so i never forget to pay something! Then is my homemade balance sheet, i do two for every month, on one i write down everything I've spent money on and on the other how much money I've got coming in. This helps a lot! I can see where i can save money buy cutting down on the things i don't really need, like a cheeky takeaway! and how much I can save etc.
I also have section for my son's school work and things, medical section and document section where i store warranty's, t.v licence etc and of course a Christmas section, which is my fave! I have been using this home management folder for about 7 months now and i must say it's a massive help! I love it!

5 a day books
i've just found this link party the other day, it's about picking 5 books to read with your children and you read them 5 books everyday for a week. my eldest son is 6 and normally i read him a book everynight before bed, but he always want's 'just one more', and my little girl is 20 months old and loves me reading books to her. So when i saw this i thought it was a great idea and thought i'd give it ago. here are my first 5 book choices for this week.
