Z is for Zoo

This is a part of our Zoo week

First off I want to say that this isn't my idea, I found it at Taming The Goblin. You should go take a look at her blog as she has some fantastic play ideas for little ones. When I saw this on her blog I knew it would be pefect for Caitlin to do as she loves gluing things.

I simply draw a little bit wonky Z on paper, and printed out animal photos I found on google images and Caitlin simply glue them around the letter. She loved doing it and wanted to do it again!

Paper Plate Lions

These are so easy to make and where apart of our Zoo week

What you need:
Paper plates
Yellow paint
yellow and orange paper
googly eyes
glue
black felt tip

First get your little ones to paint the paper plate yellow. Then once it's dry cut out strips of yellow and orange paper and glue around the edge of the plate for the lion's mane.

Stick some googly eyes on and draw a nose and mouth

We also made some paper plate crocodiles.
uses white paper cut into triangles for the teeth

These would also be good for making into a mask. Instead of using googly eyes, cut some circles out and fasten on some elastic or ribbon to tie around the head. You could then get you little ones to pretend that their in the zoo and make the animal sounds
